The library isn’t just where stories live; it’s where our community’s story unfolds. It’s where neighbors meet, families bond, and lifelong learners explore new horizons. The library is a bustling hub, welcoming over 10,000 visitors each month.
“A library outranks any other one thing a community can do to benefit its people. It is a never failing spring in the desert.”
– Andrew Carnegie
Investing in Our Future
While the library has remained a cornerstone of our community, the building has not kept pace with its role as a 21st-century gathering place. And the ways we use our library today ares not the same as they were in 1970. Our building faces challenges that hinder its ability to serve a thriving, modern community. To unlock its full potential, we must address pressing issues:
Accessibility Challenges
The building’s design does not meet ADA standards, making it difficult for individuals with mobility aids or strollers to navigate. Restrooms are outdated and poorly located, posing safety concerns.
Inadequate Space & Technology
The demand for flexible programming spaces and reliable Wi-Fi far exceeds what the current layout and infrastructure can support. Electrical outlets are scarce, limiting usability.
Aging HVAC Systems
Leaking and poorly insulated roofs require immediate replacement to prevent further damage.
Inefficient Windows & Lighting
Leaking, outdated windows and poor lighting create a dim atmosphere and costly energy bills.
Outdated Roofs
Leaking and poorly insulated roofs require immediate replacement to prevent further damage.
Imagining a Space for Everyone
Our vision is to create a library that fosters growth, connection, and imagination. This transformation will bring forth a space that is accessible, adaptable, and welcoming for all. Key features of this revitalized space include:
Flexible Spaces for Studying, Gathering, and Creating
Thoughtfully re-designed interior spaces with improved separation between quiet and less quiet areas of the library

A medium-sized meeting room equipped with advanced technology, adaptable for maker space programs.
Study rooms designed with enhanced acoustic and temperature control to ensure comfort and focus.
Enhanced Accessibility
New restrooms, including family-friendly facilities.
